The City of Birmingham has identified more than 230 streets scheduled for resurfacing in Fiscal Year 2022 which starts July 1, 2021. The contractors for this work was approved by the city council on September 14, 2021.

The City of Birmingham is beginning a multi-year, multi-phase program to repair damaged sidewalks at various locations throughout the city. These repairs will include replacement of damaged sections, infill of gaps, and improvements to curb ramps to bring them into ADA compliance.
