Birmingham’s new daily curfew of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to go into effect April 30, 2020
Birmingham, Alabama – In an effort to further curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus, Mayor Randall L. Woodfin proposed and the Birmingham City Council approved on April 30 a curfew with the hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The curfew will go into effect at 10 p.m. on April 30, 2020. It will end on May 15, 2020.
There are several exceptions to the curfew, which does not impact essential workers or businesses. Exceptions include those traveling for work, medical reasons, serving as a caretaker, to get food (which includes groceries, visiting restaurants), etc.
