Several COVID-19 testing sites and sick clinics remain available in Birmingham:
Cahaba Medical Care is offering COVID-19 testing at its West End clinic, 1308 Tuscaloosa Avenue, Birmingham. For information call 205-679-6325 or visit cahabamedicalcare.com .Testing is by-appointment only.
UAB Medicine has an appointment-only drive-thru testing site at the Environmental Sciences Laboratory parking lot at University Boulevard and 22nd Street South. To make an appointment, call 205-975-1881.
Christ Health Center and others opened a COVID-19 treatment “sick” clinic in Woodlawn, by appointment only, for those unable to see their physician because they have severe symptoms of the virus or have severe upper respiratory illnesses.
The “Christ Health Woodlawn Sick Clinic” is located at the Dream Center, 5705 First Ave. North. Those with severe COVID-19 symptoms who would like to be seen by a doctor for the virus, should text SICK to 74000 to begin the pre-screening process of making an appointment and to talk to a nurse. The clinic will be open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be no roadside or drive-up COVID-19 testing done at the location.
