Alabama Law Enforcement Torch Run

Law Enforcement Polar Plunge

The Birmingham Police Department reports its partnership with surrounding law enforcement agencies by participating in the 2012 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge.  The Polar Plunge will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2012 and benefit Special Olympics.  Participants can wear a costume, swimsuit, or just something to wade into the lake to get wet. There will be a Scooby Doo fun jump for kids along with an appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog. There will also be a contest for the best costume.

The 2012 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge will take place at Oak Mountain State Park located off I-65 exit 246 in Pelham.  Registration for the event will begin at 8:30 a.m.  For additional information on the 2012 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge, contact Officer Debbie Sumrall (Pelham PD) at (205) 617- 9322 or dsumrall@pelhamonline.com.  Participants can also register online at www.alabamaletr.com.
