Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle Arrest

The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with an Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle investigation.  Birmingham Police Burglary Investigators acquired information and evidence that linked the suspect to an investigation on vehicle break-ins in the 300 block of 10th Avenue West.  After determining the identity of the suspect, North Precinct Task Force officers located the suspect and took him into custody on Wednesday, February 22, 2012.  Investigators also learned that the suspect was responsible for five additional vehicle break-ins.

The suspect has been identified as:  Roderick Speed, B/M, 36, of Birmingham, Alabama.  Six Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle warrants with bonds totaling $100,000.00 have been obtained against the suspect.  The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
