Impersonating a Police Officer Arrest Update

The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives have obtained an additional warrant against a suspect in connection with an impersonating a police officer investigation. This case is not related to the initial investigation.

The suspect has been identified as: Bobby Honeycutt, B/M, 42, of Birmingham, Alabama. An additional warrant has been obtained for Impersonating a Police Officer. The warrant has a $15,000.00 bond.

Approximately 30 minutes prior to an unrelated reported incident on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, the suspect attempted to stop a victim near the campus of Birmingham Southern College. The victim refused to stop and pulled onto the campus next to the BSC Police gate. The suspect identified himself as a Birmingham Police officer to the BSC officers. BCS officers asked the suspect for identification, but the suspect refused and left.

The suspect remains in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
