False Report Arrest
The Birmingham Police Department reports that a suspect is in custody in connection with a filing
false report investigation.
On May 10, 2011 at approximately 10:22
a.m., the suspect arrived at the Birmingham Police Department Headquarters and reported that she was robbed in
the 2400 block of University Boulevard. The suspect stated that two black males
approached her after she left the E.Z. Money store cashing her FEMA check. The suspect stated the suspects took
her purse at gunpoint and her purse contained all the cash from her FEMA check.
During the course of the investigation, detectives found that the suspect attempted to report
the robbery to FEMA officials, but was instructed that she would need a police report. Robbery detectives
discovered that the suspect did not make a transaction at the E.Z. Money University Boulevard location as
reported. Detectives also discovered additional evidence that the suspect cashed her FEMA check at another
location on May 7th.
The suspect has been identified as: Bianca Rapley, B/F, 22, of Birmingham,
Alabama. A Filing False Report warrant has been obtained against the suspect. The suspect is in the custody of the
