Burglary Arrest

The Birmingham Police Department reports that two suspects are in custody in connection with a burglary investigation.

City-wide Task Force officers responded to a report of a burglary of a residence call in the 100 block of Moonglow Drive on February 18, 2011. Officers received information from a witness that observed the suspects moving valuables from a house and load them into a vehicle. The witness also supplied additional information on the description of the vehicle, suspects and tag number to responding officers.

A short time later, City-wide Task Force officers observed the suspect vehicle approximately a mile and a half from the scene. Officers stopped the vehicle and observed the suspects described by the witness. Officers also observed valuables described by the witness inside the suspect’s vehicle.

The owner of the residence was notified and responded to the home to describe the items missing which matched the items inside the suspect’s vehicle.

The first suspect has been identified as: Ramonda Rashad DeShazo, B/M, 18, of Trussville, Alabama. A Burglary warrant has been obtained against the suspect. The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
