THE MISSION OF THE BIRMINGHAM COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT IS TO RECEIVE EMERGENCY AND NON-EMERGENCY CALLS FROM THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM AND DISPATCH THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY TO THE APPROPRIATE LOCATION, IN A PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY MANNER.
